This Sunday is 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time and the Gospel reading is Matthew 18:15-20.
Reproving Another Who Sins
If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. If the member listens to you, you have regained that one. But if you are not listened to, take one or two others along with you, so that every word may be confirmed by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If the member refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if the offender refuses to listen even to the church, let such a one be to you as a Gentile and a tax collector.
Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.
Thank you from the CET Leadership Team
The CET Leadership Team acknowledges and thanks the Catholic Education Working Party (CEWWP), regional cluster groups, clergy of the Archdiocese of Hobart, TCEO and Catholic school staff and students for their contribution to the celebration of Catholic Education week for 2023.
The planning, preparation and coordination of Catholic Education Week is the result of the generous contribution and teamwork of so many.
We hope and pray that the theme of ‘Arise and go!’ through the example of St Mary of the Cross, MacKillop will continue to inspire our Catholic school communities throughout the remainder of the school year, encouraging all of us to proclaim Christ to the world in our words and actions each day. With St Joseph as her protector, St Mary MacKillop gave a most inspirational, faithful, and generous response to the Spirit’s call to “go out” bringing the Good News to all!
